Sugar cane testing & analysis equipment for the Sugar Cane Milling industry.
Maintenance Engineering Services CC (MEScc) was established in 1996, with it’s core activity being the design, supply and maintenance of the equipment used by the South African Sugar Association Cane Testing Service. This comprises the equipment used to sample and analyse consignments of cane delivered to the cane factory, for payment to the cane suppliers.
The company has since expanded its footprint beyond Kwa-Zulu Natal and South Africa; providing equipment, spares and consultation to neighbouring Swaziland and Mozambique and further into southern Africa to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya and as far abroad as Vietnam, USA & Brasil amongst others.
The company was founded by Anton Stein who is a graduate Electrical Engineer (University of Natal, Durban) and a member of the SA Institute of Electrical Engineers, who was employed by the South African Sugar Association Cane Testing Service for 26 years, at their Head Office and then as Maintenance Manager at their workshop in Mt Edgecombe.
